JCB Danceworks
Est. 1984
JCB Danceworks was established in 1984, under the sole direction
of Jacqueline Cook-Barber.
It began with just 60 students in partnership with The Town
of Richmond Hills Parks and Recreation Dept. The program grew
in such magnitude that it became too large for the Town's facilities.
Moving to a larger location and acquiring certified and talented
staff, JCB became one of the top
studios in the region.
Tonya Frederiks-Steenson came on board in 1986 and JCB then
began a competitive company which includes students ranging
in ages from 7-19. Tonya’s exceptional talent in choreography
joined forces with Jacqueline and they have become an unbeatable
team.
In 10 years of competition, JCB has achieved more awards
in choreography, top scores and award winning groups than
can be counted. The combination of two professionally trained
choreographers
has been a success story, and is the only studio to offer
this unique situation.
